Okay, we’re going British-style for the Basenotes Crossword this week. Mainly as they are easier to make .
In the British-style grid, there are a lot more black squares than the US-style crossword. About 50% of the letters are crossed over with another word. Whereas in the US-style crossword every letter in every word is crossed-over with another word (which means you could theoretically solve the puzzle just using Across clues).
I’ll probably alternate between the two styles to keep…
